Pain in this area of the foot below the toes is often a neuroma (a pinched nerve between the toes) or inflammation of the joints where the toes meet the bones in your foot. It can cause pain, numbness and burning to the affected area.

At the first sign of pain of ball of foot pain, switch to sturdier shoes with arch supports as overly flexible shoes are often the cause.

If your discomfort persists, give us a call at 602-251- 3113. After a complete foot exam, we can discuss additional treatments such as padding, orthotics or injections to relieve the pain.
